The FNBDA wants to congratulate Coast Funds for its accomplishments and work with its member Nations. Coast Funds is an FNBDA member and just released a report documenting 15 years of successful investments in First Nation’s Guardian programs, local businesses, and sustainable energy projects.
The FNBDA offers resources, tools, and supports to our membership and assists in creating and developing sustainable economic wealth.
We do this through:
- Providing forums for FNDCs to participate in mentorship, networking and peer-to-peer learning.
- Providing resources and references to guide best and wise practices.
- Supporting member events, webinars and forums.
And the work of Coast Funds over the past several years is impressive.
First Nations in the Great Bear Rainforest and Haida Gwaii are using conservation financing to address over-extraction, climate change, and biodiversity loss in their territories.
The Coast Funds report documents 15 years of First Nations’ investments in Guardian programs, local businesses, and sustainable energy projects.
